Magnolia Autumn fun

Happy Sunday friends

Today I have a card for Magnolia-licious Highlities challenge and the theme chosen by our hostess Diana Crick is "Autumn Splendor".

So we have to create anything following the Autumn theme and to make things right the DT created with the new stamps from the NEW Magnolia Turning Leaves 2012 Collection.

I've watercoloured and boy has it been a while.I had a hard time adapting back but at the end I was somewhat adjusted.I did notice that my ink kept running and the paper felt a little more different.I broke a new strathmore paper pad so I'm thinking it's the paper that changed because I usually zoom through my colouring. I  think I'm going to experiment with more paper. If you know of any good watercolouring paper please let know and where I could find it.

here is a close up of #311 Tilda with corn getting ready to roast her corn :) and what a fun background also one of the latest Magnolia stamps called #519 Hicking Background. You could find all of them at the Magnolia-licious store and I'll link all of the images at the bottom of my posting.

here I have a tag with #3023 MINI Tilda w/carrots.

I hope you like my card and don't forget to stop by the challenge blog HERE for more inspiration from my gorgeous team. Oh and don't forget ...If you know of any good paper for watercolouring please let me know. Thanks for your lovely comments and you know I always appreciate them all.

I am so sorry I don't get to visit some of my buddy blogs but I am seriously kept on my toes with the kids and then my DT's.

BUT SCHOOL IS STARTING and perhaps I'll be able to sneak onto some of my buddie's blogs more often whoohooo! guess what omg!!!! my baby starts school this year!! Sophie is my last one so I'LL BE HOME ALONE!!!
that's going to be an emotional day sniff sniff sniff.

Have a great day!!!

  19. Oh, Ruby...I love what you've done with this card! Your coloring looks gorgeous even if it's been a while you still colored your Maggies expertly. I haven't colored with distress inks for a while either but I use a paper pad called Manga Drawing Pad by Canson, it's 150 lb. weight. It's thick like watercolor paper but has a very smooth surface. I get mine at Michaels and it's reasonably priced.

  20. Warning, warning, this comment contains foul language: Honestly girl, when I first saw this I said "HOLY SHIT!" Fortunately, my children were downstairs playing My Little Ponies so they won't be quoting me...and even if they do, I can blame their grandmother! Lol! So, seriously, holy moly (see, I've recovered from the shock of gorgeousness that hit me and can now keep it clean)...this is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! It should be on a friggin' wall somewhere (like my house, need my address???)! Amazing Ruby...just amazing!
