Magnolia-licious Christmas blog hop

Welcome everyone to the Christmas/ winter blog hop and joining the Magnolia-licious DT is the ubber talented Scor-pal DT!!!

This is going to be so much fun!
Please read the complete details to the challenge and contest running
over the Magnolia-licious blog.
I want to make sure you get accurate deets :)

Now If you are just swinging by and want to join the hop start from the Magnolia-licious challenge blog. If your coming from the sweet talented Janice then your
are aaaa ooo kkk. I bet she had another stunning creation for us to drool.

I decided to create a box to fill with crafty goodies and layer a card front on top.
I had measurements for a smaller size box but with simply adding a few inches to the recipe I managed to create this 6x6 box.
what I did was cut a 10x10 paper for the base and score 2" on all sides. I cut and glued.
Then for the top
I cut an 8x8 paper and scored at .75" on all sides, cut and glued as well.
I added a decorative edge using the Tilda lace die and that is it. Since the top was going to be loaded there was no need to add more to the actual box.

I'm showcasing Snow scarf Tilda and she's colored with copics. I added dimension to her hat and sweater with pop up dots. Also adding some frantage, stickles and prima fine glitter to add some glitz.

Tilda is enjoying some snow fun by a
Make It Crafty Christmas background name cold by light.

I hope you like my box and I hope my assigned secret santa does too lol! Shhhhhhh

she might be around so I can't say much :P
I'm filling it with some crafty goodies that I hope she will enjoy.

Ok peeps I'm sending you to the next designer and get ready to get blown away by the gorgeous amazing Chris Dark (in my oprah voice) I can't wait to see what she's done :)

Thank you all for stopping by and please enjoy the hop but before you leave me please pick up your magical letters and they are

Heartfelt Thanks

Hiya I'm back! I hope everyone is good and how about Halloween so glad that's over with.

The kids had a good time until it started pouring on us. Needless to say Sophia went through two costumes that night because her bride dress got wet. Oh  I forgot to mention she was
Day of the Dead bride. My son was some kind of monster??? IDK his father and him picked it out at the party city store sigh...
Lauren was Monster High, Frankenstein something like that?
I helped enhance the costume with makeup, jewelry and  touches of the accessories. The girls looked awesome and my boy looked well funny lol!! My oldest was working so she snoozed ....poor girl lol!
I didn't get many pictures because I was super busy trying to get them ready for the second time. You see they were sent to school with costumes but when I picked them up it was HELL! Actually that's an understatement....... Sophia had her costume in a plastic bag and her make up was gone! IDK but I guess it was rubbed off  ... just a hot mess!

My Lauren had her dress ripped off because a teacher stepped on it ((rolling eyes) It had a long tail so I could see it was an accident and since it was raining super hard after school her make up was ruined, hot mess too!
My son just had to throw his costume on so he was stress free and he was enjoying  watching us girls struggle....MAN PFFFFT!!!

Orlando didn't have his costume on when I took the picture so he didn't get to come out on it.
(I think he's going through a stage ugh) The morning touch ups were nicer. Lauren had gold glittered hair and the face paint was much nicer. Sophia's face painting was a bit more detailed and she had pink curly hair lol! :) Oh well there's always next year.

Ok so now for my scheduled card posting.

Saturated Canary has a new challenge and this time we are following a fun sketch by my talented friend and teammie Maria.

I'm showcasing one of Krista's new digis .
Her name is Willow and she's colored with copics and a very few Spectrum Noirs. I substituted the copics I didn't have or just ran out of ink with SN :)

My DP is from the Petals and Lace available over Little Darlings online store. I love it it's so pretty and the soft colors are gorg!

I just had such a relaxing time coloring her hair and I kept thinking all the different ways her hair could be colored. Maybe I'll do a tute on the different ways to color her hair because the ideas were just over flowing.
Watch me forget about it when the time comes lol!!! It always happens lol!

Anyways here are a few pictures

Stop by the challenge blog for more inspiration from the team.

Thanks for the comments and I'll be back very soon

Queen of Hearts

So I finally I get to share my Shaky A. card that I created some time ago. I have the pleasure to color my friend Alberto's images (because he's drawing now too guys, what doesn't he do right, lol!)  I didn't announce the news before because my card didn't make the debut hop @ a little over a month ago. So yup this card has been here in my drafts all alone lol!  Alberto has his digi images for sale over Whimsy stamps and you could find the complete first collection HERE.

I figured since it's a new digi  I really wanted to keep the focus on the image itself so embellishments were kept to a very minimum. Actually I do that all the time when I want the focus to go into the coloring or when you have a whole digi scene going as well. I personally like to keep it lighter on the embellishments. I guess I do CAS cards after all lol!

Anyways I'm using the popular Queen of Hearts  and my inspiration was
the evil queen from Alice and Wonderland. I have a blue turquoise background but as hard as I tried the camera kept capturing it blue. So the background and her dress seems like it blends but IRL it contrasts.

My Queen was colored with the combination of copics and Spectrum Noir.

Don't forget to stop by the Shaky A. Planet blog for more inspiration from the dream team :P

Thank you for stopping by my corner and want to wish everybody a safe and Happy Halloween!!

Picking a perfect Tree

Hello I'm finally sharing a little winter scene I created for this past summer CHA show.
I merged three rubber stamps to create the scene. The picture on top is just the coloring before I splashed it with lots of sparkly stuff like stardust and frantage.

I'm showcasing a few of the latest Cutie pie release and a Little Darling rubber stamps.
from left to right.

all of it was colored with Spectrum Noir markers.
Here are pictures of just the coloring and then down at the bottom is more of the finished frame.

warning loaded with lots of pictures

here is the end result keeping it white for a cool effect. The Spanish sentiment is also from the latest sentiment release. Feliz Navidad Meaning , Merry Christmas.

Reserved For You a CHA card to share

Hello friends and I'm back with a Little Darlings creation that I did for the 2013summer CHA show.
I just think these images are tooooo cute with their fun hair.
This cutie here is from the Milkcoffee stamp line. (I JUST LOVE THE STAMP LINE NAME LOL!!! so catchy lol!)
Her name is Reserved for You and I have her showcased in a LD background "Rolling Hills" from the older collections but always nice to use again.

I colored this one with Spectrum Noir markers but I'm sorry I don't think I wrote down the recipe or maybe I did?? Hmmmm I'll search for whoever wants to SN coloring recipe lol!
Her outfit is paperpieced along with the pillow. Oh the pillow and flowers are done with the

a very simple stair step card

and this is a Little Darlings sentiment from the "Everyday"sentiment collection

I hope you like it and I'll  be back tomorrow for a little Wee fun :)

Tilly's Glitter mess

Hey I'm back and guess who's turn is it to pick a Saturated Canary challenge theme BAHAAAAA(evil laugh) no JK it's all good.
My team was amazing with the challenge and yes it was picked by me.
You know I wanted to do a coloring technique.
The theme is a faint line, dotted background or a cloudy sky.

I was only going to do Tilly but them my gorgeous friend Zoe from MIC has these perfect backgrounds for fairies ((EEEEK) and thought it would be the perfect dual.

Glitter mess :P

yeah for those Make It Crafty laser chipboard Swirly corners!

and now this is a little extra I did but with the Fluorescent copics.
I really like the result but it was a killer on the eyes! I have to say a little harder than your normal faint line technique. It was stamped with a neon stamp ink so IMAGINE that lol!
What I do for the love of coloring lol!

Okie doke that's it for me today and thanks for swinging by my corner. Make sure to check out what my SC DT sisters have created. They really stepped it up and left me in aweeeee!

You guys gotta see their awesome work!

Due to the size of the scene and all the colors that were used. I did not keep a note of the recipe ...it was just way too much, so sorry.
It was mainly all copics and a very few SN (@ 6)

Thanks again and enjoy the weekend. I'll be back very soon
